Wow. Hope Outdoor Gallery was a super popular place to visit on this first day of the new year. Everyone was enjoying the sunny day and taking some photos of the artwork, along with the obligatory selfies. 🙂

Canopy Tower
Another photogenic Art Installation at Laguna Gloria.
Road Angel
Parked off in the woods at Laguna Gloria was a Sculpture of a 1953 Chevrolet Coupe. It had lights and a cool soundtrack with songs and stories to listen to. Too bad the doors wouldn’t open so you could sit inside.
Miffy Fountain
This one was fun. I should have brought a water bottle so I could collect some tears. Also, did you know that Miffy is a real thing?
Lost Money
Around the back side of Laguna Gloria, near the fountain, is an exhibit consisting of 2,000 coins welded with bolts. I then started crawling around on the ground with my camera in hand. This is pretty cool art, looking like someone emptied their coin jar across the patio.
Looking Up
“Looking Up” is a fantastic sculpture at The Contemporary Austin. This is the Laguna Gloria location. You can’t help but to walk up to the base of this sculpture and strike the pose of looking up. It is also cool how the sun glints off of the stainless steel. Since we had another beautiful day in Austin, I walked the grounds of the Museum today and enjoyed several of the exhibits on display.
