I have had two major financial problems in the last few weeks.  Today, I woke up to find out that someone visited a South Austin Bank of America ATM and in two withdrawals, cleared out my checking account.  Not sure how they accomplished that, because my ATM card has been in my wallet the whole time.  Lucky for me, I keep most of my account in savings.  Last week, I discovered one of my credit cards had multiple Best Buy purchases for the same amount – $378.86.  I am working with Citibank to get the fraudulent charges removed.  Do you ever worry that you have too much information floating about on the Internet?  I’m officially worried now.  LifeLock has a free 30 day trial to prevent identity theft, and I am going to experiment with their service to see how they can help.  In the meantime, I can enjoy the $0.26 left in my account – I’ll try not to spend it all at once.
