The Big House at Oak Alley Plantation is surrounded by columns, patios and balconies. The breezes are wonderful and the views are outstanding. The columns even serve as a lizard play area so they can check out the odd tourists.

For about a year, I lived in Lafayette, Louisiana. I always have fun when I return to Southern Louisiana. The people are super nice, there is a lot to see and do, and the food is wonderful!

I remember one of my favorite trips south of Lafayette was Avery Island. I should come back and visit that area again sometime.

Avery Island is quite beautiful. And the home of Tabasco! š My hometown is about 30 minutes south of there.
