Magnolia Market at the Silos
This is a fun place to visit in Waco. Besides the Market, they have food trucks, a lawn to play on, picnic tables to enjoy, swing sets, and other groovy things to see and do.
Vaquero
This Sculpture, among others, can be found at the end of the Waco Suspension Bridge. It is a great depiction of a Vaquero herding some longhorn cattle.
Waco Suspension Bridge
The Waco Suspension Bridge is a beautiful historic bridge that was first opened in 1870. It was once a toll bridge for stagecoaches, cattle, and humans. The only other way to cross the Brazos River at the time was by ferry. Now the bridge is a pedestrian bridge only, and is full of activity on beautiful, sunny days like today.
Washington Avenue Bridge
After a quick Zoo visit, I still had some more walking energy. My next stop was the Washington Avenue Bridge which spans the Brazos River in Waco.
Cameron Park Zoo – Faces
On this last day of New Year’s Holiday, I decided to take the relatively short road trip to Waco again. The weather was perfect, so why not begin the day with a walk about at the Cameron Park Zoo? For this set of photos, I got as close to the animals as possible, then cropped the photos to mostly include faces. Here are some lovely Zoo faces to enjoy. I think the Meerkat wins.

Hope Outdoor Gallery – Graffiti
Wow. Hope Outdoor Gallery was a super popular place to visit on this first day of the new year. Everyone was enjoying the sunny day and taking some photos of the artwork, along with the obligatory selfies. 🙂
