So, the Whole Foods Market in downtown Austin held a competition for the Top Austin Model this evening. The models were great, the DJ was perfect, and the show was fun. Here are some photos to give you an idea of what went down at this event.

Zilker Botanical Garden – Entryway
While the weather today wasn’t so friendly to the kite people, it was nice to the flowers at the entrance to the Zilker Botanical Garden. The moisture made for some cool photos.

So, the neighborhood has turned the backyard of the Hezikiah Haskell House into a community garden. Pretty cool.

Texas State Capitol – Tyler Rose Garden
Yes, it is December in Austin. Yes, the Tyler Rose Garden at the Texas State Capitol is still in full bloom. These roses were too beautiful to pass by without some photos.
Rienzi Gardens
The Rienzi Gardens in the River Oaks area of Houston are free and open to the public during the operating hours of the Rienzi House Museum. Beware, because the website indicates a 4.4 acre setting, but for some reason, much of it was roped off today. Still, the small part I was allowed to visit was special.
Bayou Bend Gardens – Garden Sights
As you can tell, the Bayou Bend Gardens are full of wonder. My camera was packed with photos when I finally left and continued my drive to Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Bayou Bend Gardens – Carla Garden
The Carla Garden was one of my favorites today at the Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens. There was something new everywhere you looked, and I could just imagine spending an afternoon there with tea and a good book to read.
