My real reason for visiting Taylor, Texas today was the Skatepark Fundraiser put on by Project Loop. Over 150 artists contributed art on skateboards to help raise money for the kids of Taylor to build a skatepark. What an innovative way to put some funds together! The favorite skateboard art amongst the younger set was the “Operation” skateboard that lit up the patient’s red nose when the operation hit the guard rails. I had to fight the kids to get a photo of that board. My personal favorite was the moon man jumping asteroid craters. “SK8 or DONT” 🙂

Pedicab Parade
I attended a fundraiser tonight which started off as a pedicab parade. Apparently one of the pedicab drivers was injured just before SXSW this year and was in need of some assistance. The music was supplied by the Minor Mishap Marching Band, but they all rode along on pedicabs while I marched along to keep up with them. It was a blast, and a good way to get in some walking again tonight.
