This duck can be found near the feeding dispenser on the East Texas Pineywoods Trail at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Be sure to bring some quarters with you so you can feed the ducks!

Nature Connects
The San Antonio Botanical Garden has a new event called “Nature Connects”. The artist is Sean Kenney , and he connects Lego pieces by the thousands to make large sculptures. Pretty awesome!
Carriage
Car Stress
So, last night on my way home, my car started making a rather loud knocking noise. I didn’t think I would make it home from Georgetown safely, but I did. This morning, the car started, woke up all the neighbors, and made it to the shop in one piece. They took a look and told me it would require a new engine as the old one had died of natural causes.
I didn’t want to shell out that much money for a very well used 2001 vehicle, so I did some internet research, and found the car of my (affordable) dreams. Of course, it wasn’t in my city, so I find myself back in San Antonio.
The good news is that I will have a new car if all goes as planned tomorrow. The bad news is that I gave them a nice chunk of my savings account and will be making car payments for a while. Overall, I am very happy to be getting a new (for me) vehicle. Wish me luck!
Donkeys
The other cool thing about Berry Creek Park and Preserve is that they have two donkeys. They have a large corral for them with lots of hay and water. While I was there, a family with small children came up and fed them. The donkeys came to the fence to check me out and one of them allowed me to pet him. That was nice of him. 🙂
Flowers and Snake
I saw tons of cool stuff while walking at sunset today at Berry Creek Park and Preserve. The hiking trails have both beauty and danger, so beware! I’m not sure what kind of snake that was on the side of the trail, but lucky for me he had a full belly (check the bulge in the picture) and was too lethargic to be bothered with humans. He totally caught me by surprise! I took a quick photo and moved on.
