Arboretum Duck Pond

It is still too hot in Austin for much hiking, so I took a walk around the Arboretum duck pond and then climbed the hill to visit the Barnes and Noble book store.

Brushy Creek Flooding

Parts of downtown Austin have it much worse than we do in Round Rock.  These pictures are of the flooded Brushy Creek and for comparison, you can see one of my earlier posts from February.  Now, the question is how much more rain will this area receive in the near future?

This duck can be found near the feeding dispenser on the East Texas Pineywoods Trail at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Be sure to bring some quarters with you so you can feed the ducks!
