Hotel Emma
This was a pleasant surprise! Hotel Emma is soon to be completed, and it looks to be a wonderful place to stay. Maybe someday…
Pearl Brewery
This was my destination for the afternoon. A place where I could explore a little bit, take some photos, duck in and out of the coffee shop for a cool drink and some air conditioning, chase butterflies, and learn a little bit about the history of the Pearl Brewery.
River Taxi
After stuffing my face with a huge lunch, I decided to take a river taxi up the San Antonio River to the last stop at the Pearl Brewery. It was a lovely trip! If you go, expect to see tourists, other barges, bridges, plants, trees, flowers, ducks, turtles, a lock which raises your boat to the upper river level, waterfalls, and plenty of sunshine! If you are feeling energetic, you can even step out along the way and go for a hike along the Riverwalk path.
Fogo de Chão – San Antonio
I first learned about Fogo de Chão in March, and have been wanting to return since then. It is a little bit expensive, but the trick is to go for lunch so you don’t get hit with a killer bill. I skipped the Hotel breakfast, worked up a good appetite, and attacked. It was awesome. Meats everywhere. Check out the website if you have one in your area or come visit the one in Austin or San Antonio.
From the Roof
The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
What better way to spend some time after walking around in the Texas Summer sun than to chill out for a bit at the Alamo IMAX? Guy Ritchie is brilliant. Every scene is a fantastically shot music video.

The Alamo
I know what y’all are thinking – who would go on a photo walk through Downtown San Antonio and not stop by The Alamo? Well, here are the photos for you. Enjoy!
Tower Life Building
The Tower Life Building is one of the iconic buildings of Downtown San Antonio. As you walk through the city at night, you can’t help but marvel at this structure.
