The Marvel franchise shows no signs of slowing down. The movies keep getting better and better. Every new release is a must see at the theater, or at the IMAX if you have one where you live.

The Jungle Book
Since it rained so much in Austin today, I retreated to the IMAX theater. The Jungle Book was playing and it was a pleasant surprise. You have to wonder, though, is there such a thing as too much CGI in a film even if it is done really well?

As I am writing this, I am thinking back and trying to find some value in this film. I read so many reviews, and I do not understand why the critics liked it so much.

The Big Short
This film is an oddly brilliant storytelling about a few groups of professional investors who predicted the fall of the financial packages that were wrapped around a very risky mortgage market. It provides some very good insights into the banking industry and the pain that was felt by the world as markets tumbled.
Grease Live
I downloaded the FOX NOW app so I could watch Grease Live. It was most awesome. My favorites were Julianne Hough as Sandy, and Vanessa Hudgens as Rizzo. If you are a fan of the original Grease, you will probably enjoy this version. Check it out when you have the chance, or at least watch some of the clips on YouTube.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens – IMAX
I rarely see movies twice in the theater, but I had to see this one at the IMAX before it moved on. It was so much more intertaining – especially the aerial fight scenes – on the large screen. Too cool.
