Tonight’s fun was found at the Georgetown Palace Theater. 42nd Street is a musical based upon a Broadway cast as they practice and prepare for a new show set to open soon. In walks Peggy Sawyer, from Allentown Pennsylvania. She is new to the business and on her way to becoming a star. The Georgetown Palace Theater is an older theater and a cool place to catch a show like this. Here are a few photos to give you an idea of what the Theater looks like.

Kubo and the Two Strings
The animation was magnificent! I thought the story started out great, especially the part where there is wonderful storytelling in the streets of the village using inventive music and magical origami characters. Then, for me, things fell flat. I lost interest in the characters, and the animation and score were not enough to keep this film afloat. I did enjoy the end credits, however.

Star Trek Beyond
This is a fun summer movie. All the characters you love are back. The villain has a rubber face that deserves punching. Sofia Boutella plays a great part and you wish for more of her character as the film goes on. The space scenes are wonderful. There could be a little less of last second escapes, motorcycle stunts, and funky physics. All in all, this one sticks to the franchise formula which is both a good thing and a bad thing at times.

Indian Blanket
Texas wildflowers never cease to amaze me. These photos show three separate large fields of the Indian Blanket flowers that I ran across on my walk this evening. I’m sure this is the product of all the recent rains in Central Texas.
