Danielle’s Dream
Today, I am trying a new place to chill before walking in Georgetown – The Georgetown Public Library . The front of the library has a sculpture called Danielle’s Dream . I didn’t have much time to explore, so I will have to return soon. I did find a cool little coffee shop in one corner of the library that I will have to let you know more about. 🙂
Shaved Ice
The conversation at work today:
Work Friend 1: “What’s that?”
Me: “It’s a shaved ice. Grape.”
Work Friend 1: “Where did you get that?”
Me: “At Kawaii Shaved Ice in downtown Round Rock.”
Work Friend 2: “Do you know anyone beyond the age of six that still gets those?”
Me: “Yeah, me.”
My friends at work are so jealous… 🙂
Christopher Cross
I went to Waterloo Records today to see an in store performance by Christopher Cross . His music reminds me of High School and his song “Sailing” was voted in as my High School class song. He even performed that song this afternoon. Oh well, it was nice to see him again in person.
Las Vegas Airport
Cosmopolitan
The Cosmopolitan is still my favorite Las Vegas Casino. Here is a view from across the Fountains of Bellagio.
High Roller
Tonight, I took a ride on the High Roller , currently the world’s tallest observation wheel at 550 feet tall. There were some great views of the city throughout the thirty minute ride. What fun!
Mirage
I had dinner at the Mirage tonight, and then walked outside to see the Volcano Show. The food was perfect, and the show was great.
Rhyolite Art
Bottle House
Tom Kelly’s Bottle House was built from almost 30,000 bottles collected from the Rhyolite saloons in 1906. A most interesting piece of architecture to be found in the Rhyolite Ghost Town.
