Suspenseful. How far should the US and UK go to defeat terrorism on the African Continent?
“Never tell a soldier that he does not know the cost of war.”
This Voodoo Doll doughnut wasn’t feeling so well. I put him out of his misery and ate him. Voodoo Doughnut is a most awesome place on Sixth Street to drop in for a snack. 🙂
A motorcycle show that always amazes. The Wall of Death is complete with motorcycle riders riding to the top of the wall and grabbing dollars from customer’s outstretched hands. The wooden facility is shaking all through the act with fans shouting on their motorcycle heroes as they defy gravity and race along the wall.
The BMW section was my favorite part of the Handbuilt Motorcycle Show this year. They had several nice bikes on display.
The Austin Auto Show today featured Greased Lightning from Grease, the Batmobile, Anna and Elsa, Ironman, and lots of new cars to check out.
It is time for a trip back to Mellow Mushroom. On this cloudy, slightly windy, yet beautiful evening, I ordered the Funky Q. Chicken. It is described on the menu as “BBQ chicken, mozzarella and cheddar cheeses, caramelized onions, and Applewood smoked bacon. Finished with a bbq sauce swirl.” These combinations made for a good pizza on the patio.
The Lonestar Round Up is in town for the weekend and the best place to see the cars is along South Congress. A stroll up and down the Avenue will bring some great sights and photo opportunities. To top things off, I popped into The Continental Club to listen to some blues.
The HOPE Art Installation is related to the HOPE Outdoor Gallery in Austin where muralists and street artists display their creations. The HOPE Art Installation is located in the Rock Rose area of the Domain. It is a collection of art hanging on the building walls in the neighborhood of bars, shops, and restaurants. It is wide open to the public, so hopefully all goes well. If you find yourself in the area, definitely check it out while strolling through the new development.
