I found a new spot in Georgetown for walking. It is called Berry Springs Park and Preserve and it is located just north of town where the toll road meets I35. Below is a photo of the trail map to give you an idea of how the park is laid out.

Conference
Here are some pictures from a Social Media Conference I attended all day at The Westin Austin at The Domain . It was designed as an Unconference where the attendees set the agenda and lead informal sessions on topics they are passionate about. I liked the format, and it kept me engaged throughout the entire event.

9.) Nurse your reverse culture shock. ***Done – BBQ at Rudy’s for lunch
10.) Plan the next one. ***Never-ending work in process
So, at least I am making progress. I am thankful for the awesome hiking expedition and the fun in San Antonio over the weekend. I am lucky to live in a place with so many opportunities for day trips and weekend trips nearby. Now, what should I do next? 🙂
Riverwalk
St. Joseph Catholic Church
MadDogs
Today I am taking it easy and staying out of the sun as much as possible. I had a great time watching some football and chatting with the staff at MadDogs . This is one of my favorite bars along the Riverwalk and today’s visit was perfect.
Fountains
Alamo
St. Louis Catholic Church
I was driving through Castroville, Texas around sunset and needed to stretch my legs. I found one of the tallest structures in the town at the St. Louis Catholic Church . It is a historic place, so I took the opportunity to take a few photos. Enjoy!
Lost Maples – West Trail
Here are some things you can expect to see if you go hiking in Lost Maples State Natural Area . The hikes there are nice, but come prepared with plenty of water because the sun gets hot on top of the ridges. There are some good swimming holes and a few springs with clear water. I recommend this park if you are in the area. It is special.
