My friend celebrated his Birthday today at Top Golf in Austin. I crammed three photos into a collage – one from a bay on the second floor, one that shows how the bays wrap around and one from the back fence of the facility. This is a fun place to visit if you like to whack golf balls into targets.
I had the pool all to myself this morning. I was testing my ability to take a photo half in the water and half out of the water. I hope you like the results.

This afternoon, I find myself at The Uptown Social in Georgetown. They have a groovy wrap-around rooftop terrace that overlooks the downtown square with views of the Williamson County Courthouse. I took some photos, then came in out of the 90 degree heat for a bite to eat. This is a casual restaurant and bar if you find yourself in Georgetown.
Meet a Philippine Sailfin Dragon. He is quite a royal dude who enjoys tropical climates, healthy green salads and a nice limb to hang out on. He may be shy at first, but will acclimate to your presence in some time. Don’t worry, this dragon does not breathe fire…
I went to the Austin Aquarium today. If you go, they have a small walk in aviary with several Rainbow Lorikeets. They were so much fun. They wanted to check you out from shoestrings to ear lobes. They would play, dive and wrestle on the floor with each other. They were certainly worth the price of admission, along with all the sea creatures. 🙂
This was seen at lunch today. My friends wanted to try out Bombshells . They got burgers and I got grilled chicken. It was all very tasty. Check it out if you find yourself in Pflugerville, just north of Austin.
Today was exciting. I took a picture of a wall.
I guess this is movie weekend.  Some of my friends wanted to see The Hundred-Foot Journey and it turned out to be a good choice.  I really like the tag line in the poster “Life’s greatest journey begins with the first step”.  This is true for any challenge you face.  Go ahead and take that step if it is time.  🙂
My roommate and I went for a swim this morning and I took the opportunity to test the underwater capabilities of my new camera.
