It has been raining here all day, so I decided to go to the Round Rock Public Library to read and chill. There is this cool mural that I have always liked.

RunKeeper
I tested out a new App today while walking in Georgetown. It is called RunKeeper , and you can use it to track your exercise. In case you find a deep desire to stalk me, I am usually walking this path in Georgetown one, two, three, or four times a week. Just look for the big, sweaty dude. 🙂

Walburg German Restaurant
After a day of hiking, what could be better than a buffet at the Walburg German Restaurant ? This place is a little bit north of Georgetown, Texas. Tonight, the buffet included items like Bratwurst, Wienerschnitzel, German Homefries, Shrimp, Grilled Salmon on Rice, Brisket, Potato Soup, Salad and Baked Bread. And of course I couldn’t leave without sampling the Homemade Black Forest Cake. Yummy!
Chalk Ridge Falls Park – Fall Colors
The colors don’t change much in this part of Texas, so catching these leaves was a treat. As you can tell from the photos, today was a most excellent day for hiking.
Chalk Ridge Falls Park – River Hike
These pictures are from the hike along the Lampasas River at Chalk Ridge Falls Park. I saw several animals and birds along this section of the trail. If you like to fish, this is probably a good area. To hike through this section, just cross the wobbly suspension bridge and follow the red trail markers.
Chalk Ridge Falls Park – Waterfall Hike
Today’s mission was to hike at Chalk Ridge Falls Park. This park is along the Lampasas River, just below the dam for Stillhouse Hollow Lake near Belton, Texas. The park has two main sections that I have found so far – one that follows a spring fed creek that turns into a waterfall and one that follows along the Lampasas River. Both sections offer some good hiking trails and places to swim in the summertime. The pictures in this post are from the waterfall section of the park where I hiked, saw a deer and wished that it was warm enough for lounging in the crystal clear waters of the creek.
Kingdom
To celebrate Daylight Saving Time and the concept of “fall back”, I had a late night at Kingdom Nightclub in Austin. This is one of my favorite places to check out DJs and EDM music. The club is relatively small, but the sound system and light show are great.
Fan Fest II
I went back to the Fan Fest today for more music and fun. The best band of the day was Grupo Fantasma .
Day and Night
I parked near the Capitol for the Austin Fan Fest, so I caught a photo on the way to the festival and on the way back to my car. What a fun evening it was!
