Muertos Fest – Art
Today there was a Día de Los Muertos Festival in downtown San Antonio at La Villita. The Festival had tons of art on display and for sale at several booths around the courtyard. It was jam packed with families in the mood to celebrate.
Mala Luna – The Evening
The crowd was so energized when the sun went down and things at the Festival got much cooler. It wasn’t the most beautiful sunset, but it was a welcomed one.

The Mala Luna Music Festival was held on the grounds of the old Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio. There was food, drinks, music, art, plenty of sunshine, and the cool backdrop of the old brewery itself with its iconic tower.
River Parade
After the Halloweenfest costume contest was decided, the crowd stuck around to see the decorated floats cruise by on the river.

Here are some of the entries in this evening’s costume contest at the Arneson River Theater on the San Antonio Riverwalk. The little lion tamer and her lion (dog) won first place and took home a check for $500. Congratulations to her and all of the other contestants!
Cabaret
If you ever have the opportunity to see a show at the Majestic Theater in Downtown San Antonio, please go. Such a great venue.

Austin Samba flat out rocks! The Brazilian percussion and dance team is so full of energy. If you can find them at an event, then please check them out. You will not be disappointed.

Did you know that you need Classical Indian Dance in your life? It turns out that you do. Anuradha Naimpally is mesmerizing on stage. Thanks to the Our World Family Music Festival for bringing her to the event!

There was a World Music Festival at Zilker Park today, and this was one of my favorite dance teams. Oaxaca, arte en movimiento, was an impressive team. Not to mention the pineapple dance! Yay!
