In the same vicinity as the Long Center for the Performing Arts is a park with a small, steep hill that has a nice view of downtown Austin. If you take the circular path to the top of Doug Sahm Hill, you will be rewarded on nice sunny days.

South Congress Hot Rods
The Lonestar Round Up is in town for the weekend and the best place to see the cars is along South Congress. A stroll up and down the Avenue will bring some great sights and photo opportunities. To top things off, I popped into The Continental Club to listen to some blues.
HOPE Art Installation
The HOPE Art Installation is related to the HOPE Outdoor Gallery in Austin where muralists and street artists display their creations. The HOPE Art Installation is located in the Rock Rose area of the Domain. It is a collection of art hanging on the building walls in the neighborhood of bars, shops, and restaurants. It is wide open to the public, so hopefully all goes well. If you find yourself in the area, definitely check it out while strolling through the new development.
Campus Walkabout
Old Settlers Park
I took it easy today. There was a nice walk through Old Settlers Park with soccer fields, model airplanes, and bluebonnet fields.
Colorado River Bridge at Bastrop
I went to Bastrop after work today to do some exploring. I started along the banks of the Colorado River and then made my way up to the Colorado River Bridge. It was a beautiful day for a long walk and there were plenty of sights to see along the way.

Labyrinth
Tucked away, off of the main trail at Brushy Creek Lake Park, is a tiny Labyrinth. Lucky for us, the Bluebonnets are sprouting up. According to the sign, “Labyrinths are different in that they have a single path that leads to the center and back out again.” Also, “labyrinths are designed to calm, heal, comfort and bring about balance.” I truly enjoyed the sights, sunshine, and breezes as I walked through and skipped over the rocks placed to form this Labyrinth.
