The HOPE Art Installation is related to the HOPE Outdoor Gallery in Austin where muralists and street artists display their creations. The HOPE Art Installation is located in the Rock Rose area of the Domain. It is a collection of art hanging on the building walls in the neighborhood of bars, shops, and restaurants. It is wide open to the public, so hopefully all goes well. If you find yourself in the area, definitely check it out while strolling through the new development.
The final event for Honk! TX this year was the Band Review at Pan Am Park. There were lots of people, instruments everywhere, sunshine, green grass, and live music throughout the day. I am looking forward to next year’s events.

Today’s Honk! TX events were held at Adams-Hemphill Park and Spider House. Once again there was great music on a spectacular, sunny day in Austin.
Honk! TX is back in town for the weekend! This is one of my favorite festivals of the year with such good music. I watched several bands this evening at different locations along South Congress Avenue. My favorite band tonight was Gora Gora Orkestar from Boulder Colorado. They were great!

Since I was on the University of Texas campus this afternoon, and the weather was picture perfect, I decided to take a long walk and add to my photo collection.
The Harry Ransom Center has a small collection of Shakespeare related items on display. This made for a good Sunday outing.
McDonald’s Loft was one of my favorite SXSW venues this year. The lines were long, but once inside, they fed you, gave you drinks, and entertained you. This band is called Escondido, and they were fun.
