Cooper’s Bar-B-Que – New Braunfels

IMG_5629

Today’s lunch was at Cooper’s Bar-B-Que in New Braunfels.  They had a weekend special consisting of a boneless pork chop and a baked potato.  I added some beans, pickles, and an iced tea to make it an awesome meal.  This is a great BBQ joint if you find yourself in the area.

Stiles Switch BBQ

Tonight’s dinner was consumed at the award winning Stiles Switch BBQ.  Nothin’ fancy, just some great Texas BBQ.  I enjoyed the moist brisket, turkey breast, mac n cheese, corn casserole, and iced tea.  This is a nice casual place on Lamar Blvd. in North Austin, so come and check it out.

Hana Yoree

My friends took me to a new place for lunch today, Hana Yoree inside the Hana World Market in North Austin. The food was Korean, and I had number 23 “Bul Go Gi – Korean style BBQ beef with rice”. I never would have known they were hiding a Food Court up in here. If you are a fan of Korean food, or just want to try something new (and relatively inexpensive), check it out.

Terry Black’s Barbecue

IMG_3073.JPG

Welcome to Austin! We need another BBQ Joint. ๐Ÿ™‚

The good news is that this version of Black’s Barbecue is very similar to the one in Lockhart. I walked in the door and picked my sides – beans and creamed corn. I then turned the corner and watched as my meats were cut and weighed – moist brisket, turkey breast, and a small jalapeรฑo and cheese sausage. Then pay, grab your drink, and enjoy. You can choose to sit inside or on the patio outside, where I am composing this post at the moment. What a beautiful day in Austin it is.
