I heard through the grapevine that the Driskill had a beautiful Christmas Tree. I found myself downtown late tonight, so I thought I would sneak by and take a look. I was super impressed.

Invincible Czars
And the winner for the most fun band of the night is the Invincible Czars! They played the best renditions of songs from The Nutcracker. Check them out as they are super fun to watch.
Capitol Tree Lighting
This evening was the Christmas Tree lighting ceremony at the Texas State Capitol. It involved caroling, Santa photos, hot chocolate, kettle corn, art, a small farmer’s market, and live music. Austin people were out in force, having a great time in some beautiful December weather.

Yes, it is December in Austin. Yes, the Tyler Rose Garden at the Texas State Capitol is still in full bloom. These roses were too beautiful to pass by without some photos.

Round Rock Lights
Downtown Round Rock had their lighting ceremony tonight and all the Christmas lights were switched on.
Riverwalk – Lights
Reminder to self – Don’t go to the San Antonio Riverwalk on a beautiful Saturday night to walk around and look at the Christmas lights. About 1 billion people have the same plans. Oh well, mission accomplished, and the result was some nice photos.
Georgetown Lights
They started wrapping the trees on the Georgetown Square in lights. They look awesome. Happy Thanksgiving, y’all! 🙂

Via Colori! Please go to this festival if you ever have the opportunity. The streets of the Theater District in Downtown Houston were blocked off and filled with people, sunshine, music, food, drink, and some incredible chalk art. 🙂
Downtown Houston
The Theater District in Downtown Houston is awesome. I walked around the area today with my head up in the sky admiring the tall building architecture on display.
