The Wursthalle is a miniature version of what I imagine Octoberfest in Germany is like. Rows of tables filled with professional beer drinkers and couples dancing to traditional German music. My favorite discovery was the pork chop on a stick, found in the adjacent Marktplatz.

Wurstfest – Map
Today’s weather sent an invitation to Wurstfest . Here is the map and a few photos so you can get the feel of the annual festival in New Braunfels. It was totally packed with festival people today.
Diamond Fest – Globe of Death
Diamond Fest – Carrousel
Diamond Fest – Ferris Wheel
There is a carnival going on in the parking lot of the Dell Diamond called Diamond Fest . They have it all, including rides, food, games, a puppet show, a motorcycle show, a petting zoo, pig races, and a Prince cover band. My favorite ride this evening was the Ferris Wheel and the awesome sunset views from the top. 🙂
Buc-ee’s
Anytime I drive towards New Braunfels, I try to stop in at Buc-ee’s for a pit stop. They have it all. Today I got trail mix, beef jerky, BBQ Brisket sandwich, and Dr. Pepper Icee. The most healthy combination of snacks. 🙂
Wizard of Oz
By far, my favorite game at Pinballz Arcade was the Wizard of Oz Coin Pusher Game . As you can see in the pictures, you shoot coins into the game with the hopes of pushing prizes off the edge. The most valuable prize you can obtain are the Wizard of Oz cards. I told the Wicked Witch “I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!” I did get her (along with several other cards). This game is so addicting!
Pinballz
Pinballz Arcade is not lying when they say they have pinball machines. There are a ton of them to play, and if you feel the need, you can purchase one for your home. Here are some pictures of my favorites they had in the arcade today.
Zoltar
Today, for a work event, my team met up at Pinballz Arcade in North Austin. We always make fun of one of the guys at work, because he has all the knowledge and all the answers like Zoltar. These pictures are for him.
Austin Aquarium
I went to the Austin Aquarium today. If you go, they have a small walk in aviary with several Rainbow Lorikeets. They were so much fun. They wanted to check you out from shoestrings to ear lobes. They would play, dive and wrestle on the floor with each other. They were certainly worth the price of admission, along with all the sea creatures. 🙂
