Chinatown Center
I visited Chinatown Center in Austin today for some pho at Pho Saigon, some bubble tea at Short N’ Sweet, and a walk around the complex to see what’s new.
Mamma Mia
At the Bass Concert Hall they still had a few last minute Friday night tickets for Mamma Mia. The musical was great and the music of ABBA is always cool.
Magnolia Market at the Silos
This is a fun place to visit in Waco. Besides the Market, they have food trucks, a lawn to play on, picnic tables to enjoy, swing sets, and other groovy things to see and do.
Cameron Park Zoo – Faces
On this last day of New Year’s Holiday, I decided to take the relatively short road trip to Waco again. The weather was perfect, so why not begin the day with a walk about at the Cameron Park Zoo? For this set of photos, I got as close to the animals as possible, then cropped the photos to mostly include faces. Here are some lovely Zoo faces to enjoy. I think the Meerkat wins.

Austin’s New Year – By Night
If Austin throws a party with Ray Wylie Hubbard, and fireworks, and other fun activities, then you should probably attend.

Austin Aquarium – Rainbow Lorikeets
My all time favorite creatures at the Austin Aquarium are the Rainbow Lorikeets. They love to examine you and your belongings up close. They will land on you in a friendly way and check you out. They seem to be always in motion, making it challenging to get a good photo. My small camera is interesting to them, so they usually want to experience it by touching it with their beaks. I will normally try to spend as much time as possible inside their enclosure at the Aquarium. It is so much fun to hang out with these awesome birds.
Austin Aquarium – Clownfish
My second favorite creatures at the Austin Aquarium are the clownfish. I can watch them play in their tanks for hours on end. Maybe I should get a fish tank?
