Bull Creek District Park

IMG_4941

The recent rains in Austin have transformed Bull Creek District Park into a giant water park for the family.  People were having a great time this evening with swimming, sliding down the waterfalls, playing on the rope swing, picnicking, and wading through the shallow parts.  There were million dollar homes in the hills, wildflowers on the trails, and family pets wondering how they ended up in the middle of a flooded creek.  Forget paying those expensive water park fees for a while and get yourself over to Bull Creek for a swim.  ðŸ™‚

Bee Cave Sculpture Park

IMG_4771

I visited the Hill Country Galleria Mall this evening in between rain showers, and it turned out that the concert in the Amphitheater was cancelled due to the weather.  So instead of a rock concert, I caught the scene at the Bee Cave Sculpture Park .  It was a wet evening, which made for some interesting photos and then a nice sunset.

If you are in Austin, you might want to check this out.  Metamorphosis Dance Team presents its Ballet Under the Stars show called “… so they dance”.  It happens again Saturday night at 8:00 pm at the Zilker Hillside Theater.  It is a very pleasant show and it provides you the opportunity to take a picnic and throw out a blanket on the Hill.

Brushy Creek Lake Park – Bluebonnets

IMG_4278

I went walking this afternoon at Brushy Creek Lake Park with a side endeavor of bluebonnet photos.  The walk was beautiful, and the bluebonnets were even more astounding.  I wish I could share the aroma of this field with you over the Internet.  There were more flowers than you could imagine, bees, joggers, dogs, grasshoppers, kayakers, and bikers.  A most lovely afternoon was had by all.  ðŸ™‚
