Chicken, Chicken, Goat, Dragon, Rabbit, Horse, Chicken, Snake, Goat…
I am trying the “Salted Caramel Cream blasTea” today. With tapioca pearls, of course. 🙂
I took a short walk around Austin Community College in Round Rock before it got too cold and too dark. The water tower caught my attention at dusk.
This is the best we can do in Central Texas. We watch your photos from the North East Coast (and other cold weather places) in awe of the piles of snow. We travel to places like Colorado just to ski, snowboard, and play in the snow. Here it is 32 degrees Fahrenheit in the morning and 71 degrees Fahrenheit in the afternoon. If you hurry out to your car in the morning, before it warms up, you can get a glimpse of frost on the windshield and dream of the last time you caught snowflakes on your tongue.
I went for a swim, then a late night meal at Kerbey Lane Cafe where I was admiring the art of Tori Jane on the walls. If you act quickly, as of today this item is for sale on her Etsy Shop (among other interesting pieces).
Anyone like Cuban cuisine? Mambo House is a relatively new restaurant in Round Rock that serves up some yummy Cuban food. Tonight’s dinner consisted of fried plantains, empanadas, Chuletas a la Parilla (grilled pork chops, yellow rice and caramelized onions), and tres leches. Everything was perfect, and I will be sure to return again soon.
