Flaming Pizza

My Friday evening consisted of a nice Jazz/Blues band at the Domain and a pizza on the patio of Flaming Pizza which overlooks The Great Lawn with its small amphitheater.  This is a casual pizza joint that just opened a few weeks ago.  My pizza of choice was the “Bacon n’ Shrooms” with white sauce, mozzarella, mushroom, applewood bacon, garlic, and arugula.  Yummy!  They only make one size pizza, about 11 inches, and you can build your own or pick one of their specialties off the menu.  I believe they will all have a thin crispy crust, hot from the flaming oven.  The next time I return, I will load up on a build your own version, starting with Canadian bacon and then piling on more toppings from there.  ðŸ™‚

A Feast For Crows

IMG_4800

It has been a long time since I finished a book, so this event is pretty important.  ðŸ™‚  Back in December of last year, I completed the third book in the Game of Thrones series and now I have finally completed the fourth.  “A Feast For Crows” was a tough book for me.  George R. R. Martin decided to split the next part of his series into two books and “A Feast For Crows” followed only a part of the characters instead of following all of the characters in a chronological order.  The next book will tell the story of the other characters.  Indeed an odd choice for his series.  My favorite character this time was Brienne.  She is a noble warrior who travels throughout the countryside on a quest of sorts.  And yes, now I am starting the fourth book in the series called “A Dance With Dragons”.  We will see how long it takes to finish this one…

Round Rock West Greenbelt Trail

I got out of work a little bit later than I had hoped.  I looked for a nearby walking opportunity before the sun was scheduled to set, and decided to try the Round Rock West Greenbelt Trail – power lines, greenbelt, and 0.88 miles of asphalt walking path.  I found birds, lightning bugs, a rabbit, the Lake Creek, and a nice sized deer that followed by me on the path for a short while.  Overall, a cool, short walk at sunset.

Google Photos

Remember that time, not so long ago, when I hiked the Canyon Overlook Trail at Zion National Park in Utah and took some crazy awesome pictures with my cell phone?  Now, thanks to Google Photos, I do.  This new App was recently introduced for Android, iOS, and desktop computers, and I have been having some fun with it.  Give it a try if you need to backup, organize, search, edit or store some of your photos.  You can thank me later…  ðŸ™‚
