Westech 360
Westech 360 is the office park located at the bottom of the Steck Valley Greenbelt. It has the art piece called “Angle at 19.5 degrees” along with cool opportunities for photos with reflections of clouds. 🙂

George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center
The George Washington Carver Museum and Cultural Center was my destination today for the Fifth Annual International Music Festival. Here are some photos to give you an idea of what the Museum looks like from the outside.
Downtown Hutto at Night
Downtown Hutto is a rather lonely place at night. One restaurant and bar operation stays open until midnight on Friday nights. The rest of the city is left to the Hippos – the local mascot.
Hutto Cotton Gin and Silos
The City of Hutto has a historic Cotton Gin. The city is located along Highway 79, just East of Round Rock and right along the railroad tracks. Beginning back in the late 1930s, farmers would come to Hutto and deliver their cotton crops. Today, on this overcast and cloudy evening, the biggest silo was a backdrop for the Sunset Music Series and a great band called Lost & Nameless. What a great idea!
Last Chance Forever
I attended a small Renaissance Festival in San Antonio this afternoon and got a pleasant surprise with a group called Last Chance Forever. They rescue birds of prey and try to get them back into their natural habitat. They showed off Eagles, Falcons, Owls, Hawks, and Vultures. It was amazing.
Frost Bank Tower III
I took a photo walk through downtown Austin today. In search of the best shot of the Frost Bank Tower.
Mountain of Legos
After posting my last blog page from the Lego Kids Fest, there was still a little time left before the event was over for the day. Lucky for me, there was a small mountain of Legos to dive into. The kids had built a giant blue city with about 90 towers, so I contributed by building a long blue wall to front the city and keep out the kids who wanted to play Godzilla for the night. It sort of worked and kept the destructive ones from crushing all the towers. The whole plan failed when the time for the event was up. The adult proctors began ripping the city to pieces in preparation for the next morning so tomorrow’s kids could have a fresh mountain of blocks to build from. I hope they have fun and make a city as majestically constructed as the one tonight. 🙂
