Texas Book Festival – Rainbow

Let this be a lesson to me – don’t be grumpy when you find yourself about a mile away from your car, with the umbrella in the trunk, and you are walking back in the rain.  You never know when a magnificent rainbow will pop up out of nowhere to put an exclamation point on your awesome day in Austin.  ðŸ™‚

Texas Book Festival – Butterfly Fountain

IMG_2265

The Texas Book Festival is the best time of the year to seek out migrating Monarchs.  They typically look for a food source at the fountain on the State Capitol grounds.  They are so much fun to photograph, because they don’t stay on one flower blossom for long, but flitter about on their own personal schedule.
