I think having a blog in the summertime entices you to hang out at a local joint with air conditioning, free wireless, and frozen beverages.

As an experiment in Texas Summer heat, the air conditioner decided to break for a few days. Just in time for a forecast of “it’s going to be hot out there”. In case you are wondering, the indoor temperature range will vary from 82 degrees as a low to 88 degrees as a high, with more time spent on the 88 degree side of things. This does not make for a pleasant experience while relaxing at home, but does provide free sauna treatments for all.
Two-Tailed Mermaid
This is a nice, calm, slow afternoon. Drinking Vanilla Bean Frappuccino at Starbucks and learning about the origin of the Starbuck’s Mermaid. I took a few photos and then used the Pixlr App to add some effects to one of them. I just wish this drink had some caffeine, because now I am getting very sleepy.

I took a walk around Huston Tillotson University this afternoon, and this scene caught my attention. I figured it was a good opportunity to play with the Watercolor adjustment of the Pixlr App. Do you prefer the original or the edited version?

Sharing – Autodesk Pixlr
From a Sanrio tweet,
Last week, I was looking for an App that would allow me to overlay one photo over the top of another. A friend recommended the Autodesk Pixlr photo editing App as a solution. The “double exposure” feature did exactly what I wanted, and as an extra bonus, the Pixlr App is free. I have been playing around with this App since then and so far, I really like it. Give it a try if you are looking for something like this. 🙂
