The Mala Luna Music Festival was held on the grounds of the old Lone Star Brewery in San Antonio. There was food, drinks, music, art, plenty of sunshine, and the cool backdrop of the old brewery itself with its iconic tower.

Mala Luna – The Walk
Today’s destination would be the Mala Luna Music Festival in San Antonio. My goal was to see Steve Aoki perform tonight. The Festival was about a mile and a half walk from my hotel, and I chose the path that would take me down the south portion of the Riverwalk. It was a nice walk with plenty of river sights and creatures to entertain me along the way.

After the Halloweenfest costume contest was decided, the crowd stuck around to see the decorated floats cruise by on the river.

Here are some of the entries in this evening’s costume contest at the Arneson River Theater on the San Antonio Riverwalk. The little lion tamer and her lion (dog) won first place and took home a check for $500. Congratulations to her and all of the other contestants!

If you are walking in downtown San Antonio, you are likely to see a large sculpture called the Torch of Friendship. You may also experience direct sunlight and off in the distance, see the sunshine glinting off the exterior elevators as they carry passengers up to the top of the Tower of the Americas.

When the temperature is in the upper 80s in San Antonio, you limit your walking about and find a spot where you can enjoy an iced green tea.
Cabaret
If you ever have the opportunity to see a show at the Majestic Theater in Downtown San Antonio, please go. Such a great venue.

Stagecoach and Stuff
Yes, the Briscoe Western Art Museum is huge. Sprinkled among the art on three floors, they have a stagecoach, a wagon, a windmill, a diorama of the Battle of the Alamo, and lots of other sights to see. This Museum has quickly become one of my favorites in San Antonio.
