Guadalupe River State Park – Hiking
I took it easy today, and went for a few of the short hikes in the Guadalupe River State Park. I walked along the river and I went to see the view from the overlook. I will definitely go back again when I can spend more time on the longer hikes in the park.

Rio Vista Park
I drove down to San Antonio this afternoon, and stopped at Rio Vista Park in San Marcos. It was a beautiful afternoon and there were several kayakers out having fun in the artificial rapids. It made for a great rest stop before continuing my trip to San Antonio.
Brushy Creek Trail
I walked a portion of a new hike and bike path today. It is called Brushy Creek Trail and it began for me where it intersects A. W. Grimes Blvd. The path is wide and paved as you head East from the Rabb House or Play for All Abilities Park, and there are some shady trees along the way.

At night, the stems light up and use a portion of the energy collected to make the Electric Sunflower Garden look really cool.
