It has been about a month since my last visit to the Bass Pro Shops in Round Rock. I took a stroll around the store, admired the bears, checked out the fish in the aquarium, and had dinner at Uncle Buck’s Fish Bowl & Grill. I’m still glad they decided to build this store here.

Ant-Man
Sunny
As an experiment in Texas Summer heat, the air conditioner decided to break for a few days. Just in time for a forecast of “it’s going to be hot out there”. In case you are wondering, the indoor temperature range will vary from 82 degrees as a low to 88 degrees as a high, with more time spent on the 88 degree side of things. This does not make for a pleasant experience while relaxing at home, but does provide free sauna treatments for all.

I just tweeted my Apple Music playlist. Please let me know your thoughts and impressions. This playlist has most of the EDM music that has been featured on my blog, and I hope you like it. 🙂
Three Black Butterflies
It turns out that I am an Origami Master. Those three beautiful black butterflies were all created by me. Give it a try and test your skills with a square sheet of paper. The event today was called the 1,000 Cranes Origami Festival. It was a great idea for an event, and the Asian American Resource Center was packed with other skilled Origami Artists working their magic.
Faces of Humanity
As I have mentioned before, these photos are so good! Get over to the Asian American Resource Center before the Faces of Humanity exhibit is gone (until July 31st). Also, be sure to visit Ali Khataw’s website for some impressive photography.
Asian American Resource Center II
I attended an event at the Asian American Resource Center again today. Here are some photos from the outside and from the rock garden atrium in the center of the facility.
Ney Day
Today in Austin there was a festival to celebrate Elizabet Ney – “Ney Day”. There were artists, live music, fruit slushes, and tours of the Elizabet Ney Museum. The 100 degree heat made it tough for a festival, but everyone still had fun.
Hiking with Fish
I have returned to my new favorite pastime for beating the afternoon Summer heat in Austin. Yes, hiking in another section of Bull Creek. The water is clear and cool and typically no more than waist deep. However, there are a few swimming holes to enjoy if you like. The fish are both curious and friendly too. 🙂
