The Austin Aquarium is always a fun place to visit. My favorites today were the Clownfish and the Rainbow Lorikeets. I could watch the Clownfish play around the Sea Anemone for hours as they swim in and out of the tentacles. The Lorikeets are also very playful, but in a much different way. They will fly over to greet you, perch on your hand for a while, and pose for a photo or two. When it becomes feeding time, they gather around the bowl and all partake of dinner in a mostly orderly fashion. These creatures and the others at the Aquarium make for a great day.

Model Train Show
It is time for the Holiday Model Train Show at ArtSpace in Downtown Round Rock. It is a series of dioramas surrounded by train tracks. For a $5.00 donation, you can control one of the many trains circling the exhibits. For some reason, this entertains me for long periods of time. Check it out if you find yourself in Round Rock for the Holidays.
Kaiju Attack!!!
The Univesity Hills Branch of the Austin Public Library had a Kaiju event this afternoon. They showed a Godzilla movie on the wall, had a cool dude in costume for photos, arts and crafts for the kids, snacks, action figures, and books for everyone to enjoy. Yes, it was totally a nerd fest…

Adelbert’s Brewery II
It is a rainy Saturday in Austin, so I took it easy today. I watched some football, had lunch with a friend, stopped by Adelbert’s Brewery, and chilled at Starbucks with my iPad. What you see in the first photo is a semi-wet picnic table outside the Brewery with a “Naked Nun” – their awesome Wit Beer which was chemically enhanced by a few stray rain drops.

Wurstfest
Here are a series of walking around photos from Wurstfest in New Braunfels. This is one of my favorite festivals of the year – music, food, drinks, costumes, and too much fun for one place.
ARToberfest
I travelled to New Braunfels today for some fun. My first stop was the New Braunfels Art League for an art contest.
The Williamson Museum
It was First Friday at The Williamson Museum in Georgetown, so I thought I would drop in and have a look. It is located in an old bank building on the Square. For some reason, I fell in like with the historic safes on display. They were cool.
