Models

This afternoon, I am back at the Georgetown Public Library to explore some more and to kill some time before going for a long walk. I found a collection of models to photograph. According to the placard, “John M. Barcus, a former Georgetown resident who died in 1976 at age 85, built these models between 1969 and 1973. He donated them to the Georgetown Public Library in 1973 when he moved to San Benito to live with his daughter.” I hope you like them.

Jacob’s Well

It was a nice day for a drive today, so I went to check out Jacob’s Well , near Wimberly. From the parking area, it is a short walk to the artesian spring. The opening to the swimming hole is only about 12 feet, so it is not a very large place to swim. It is currently closed to swimming, but there were a few people breaking the rules, and a handful of scuba divers descending into the spring. The water was very clear and inviting.

Wizard of Oz

By far, my favorite game at Pinballz Arcade was the Wizard of Oz Coin Pusher Game . As you can see in the pictures, you shoot coins into the game with the hopes of pushing prizes off the edge. The most valuable prize you can obtain are the Wizard of Oz cards. I told the Wicked Witch “I’ll get you, my pretty, and your little dog, too!” I did get her (along with several other cards). This game is so addicting!
