Today was Austin Museum Day with free access to several museums across the city. Did you know that the Austin Toy Museum was a thing? I found it over in East Austin on Cesar Chavez Street. It is more of a warehouse than anything else, but they let you wander through and remember some of the toys you had as a kid. Pretty cool! Check it out if you find yourself in downtown Austin.
Tonight’s fun was found at the Georgetown Palace Theater. 42nd Street is a musical based upon a Broadway cast as they practice and prepare for a new show set to open soon. In walks Peggy Sawyer, from Allentown Pennsylvania. She is new to the business and on her way to becoming a star. The Georgetown Palace Theater is an older theater and a cool place to catch a show like this. Here are a few photos to give you an idea of what the Theater looks like.

I got to attend an event at the Frank Erwin Center today. This venue is located on the University of Texas campus, and plays host to large gatherings, basketball games, and concerts.
Besides having the most awesome lamps that hang from the ceiling, Chennai Cafe has great South Indian food. When you walk in the door, the fragrant aromas hit you and you find yourself curious about the dining experience that awaits. Their website explains things in the following way.
For lunch today, I enjoyed the Lamb Kurma, rice, Naan, and tea. It was all wonderful, with just the right amount of spice. And did I mention their beautiful lamps that are ripe for use with the Prisma App?
Has anyone tried the Prisma App yet? It is a bit different than using filters. It uses artificial intelligence to turn photos into art. It is pretty impressive and you can check out lots of user submitted results on their Facebook Page. The only thing that I find odd is that the photo outputs are a square shape. It was a lazy Sunday. I slept a lot, watched some football, ate a late lunch, and then went out to Lake Pflugerville for a sunset walk around the 3 mile loop.
A small cool front blew into town today and the resulting sky made for some nice photography subjects. The reflections in the downtown buildings were just amazing to behold.
I have been to this location once before at nighttime. I decided to give it a try at sunset to check out this unique view of Round Rock.
