Dinner tonight was at PizzaRev in Round Rock near the Outlet Mall. You get in line, choose your sauce and cheese, add all the toppings you want, then watch as they place your pizza in the oven. My pizza had BBQ sauce, Italian cheese, Bacon, Canadian Bacon, Meatball, Spinach, and Garlic. The pizza is cooked quickly with a thin crust, and it turns out to be totally yummy.
Today was the Chalk Walk Festival in Downtown Round Rock. There was lots of great art, food, drink, live music, booths and a petting zoo complete with a baby pig. The weather was also perfect for strolling around and checking out the artist’s fine work.
Trying out a new place for bubble tea in Round Rock on this day full of fluffy clouds. We need Teapioca Lounge in this city, since there are so few bubble tea joints north of Austin. I tried the Frozen Cappuccino with Tapioca and it was tasty. I didn’t do the lounging part today, but I’m sure to return again soon since they stay open until 10:00 pm.
Hooray for the community garden! The butterflies are loving these blossoms. The sun was shining, the bees were out enjoying the nectar, the breeze was blowing, and a few butterflies were willing to pose for pictures. What an awesome afternoon it was!
When it pays to be a night owl…
Today was a swim day. I took my camera along since I had the pool to myself for most of the time. I liked how the filtered sun beams threw shadows along the bottom of the pool. I tried to hold my breath for as long as possible and float in the silence of the underwater world.
We received a one day cool front in the area today. No more 100 degree weather (until tomorrow). We decided to celebrate by hanging out on the patio of a local establishment for Happy Hour. The nice sunset is an extra bonus. 🙂
I had a late dinner at Rudy’s Country Store and Bar-B-Q tonight. Pretty simple – brisket and iced tea. It was quite tasty as per the norm, and I was almost the last person to leave the establishment.
