Thinkery – Minor Mishap Marching Band
I went back to the Thinkery to watch the Minor Mishap Marching Band perform. They are so much fun. According to their website, “Minor Mishap Marching Band is known for their shenanigans, their black and yellow costumes, and their fun-loving exuberance.” Totally true, and they play great music together too.

Brushy Creek Lake Park – Bluebonnets
I went walking this afternoon at Brushy Creek Lake Park with a side endeavor of bluebonnet photos. The walk was beautiful, and the bluebonnets were even more astounding. I wish I could share the aroma of this field with you over the Internet. There were more flowers than you could imagine, bees, joggers, dogs, grasshoppers, kayakers, and bikers. A most lovely afternoon was had by all. 🙂
Cuba Bakery & Cafe
Today’s lunchtime mission was to get some empanadas. According to Wikipedia, “Cuban empanadas are typically filled with seasoned meats (usually ground beef or chicken), folded into dough, and deep-fried.” That was the case at Cuba Bakery & Cafe in Round Rock. In the third picture you can see the state of the empanadas in the display case after my friend and I got our orders. We almost cleaned them out of the chicken and beef ones. Now we just need to time our assault so that we arrive as they are just coming out of the oven. Yummy!

Cisco’s
Cisco’s Restaurant is an Austin institution, having served breakfast on the East Side for more than 50 years. Their migas are some of my favorite in all of Austin.
