It looks like version 1.0 of the Tiësto App was launched on March 4th. Where was I? This App is awesome. There is tons of music, videos, podcasts (including the second hour which is available weekly), and the ability to save the podcast to your device for playback later. I tested that feature on my iPod touch in my car over the weekend while making trips to downtown Austin. Everyone in traffic was jealous of me and my groovy Tiësto podcast which was being played back at a most reasonable volume. 🙂

Pecan Manor
Here is a Pixlr edit of a photo I took in Taylor, Texas a few weeks ago. This place is a groovy looking bed and breakfast called “Pecan Manor“. I like experimenting with the watercolor style in Pixlr, and the original photo is below for comparison.
Star Wars Uprising
At the beginning of the year, I was checking out the typical lists for best Apps of 2015. One game, Star Wars Uprising, was included on many of the lists. I tried it out and got hooked. If you are a fan of Star Wars, give this one a try. It is free, simple in concept, playable on a mobile device, and seems to have a good storyline backing it up. Enjoy!
Twitter Unsquishes Photos
So Twitter is taking a small step in the right direction. Has it ever annoyed you that your Twitter feed only showed part of a photo and you had to tap on the photo to view the full image? So, Twitter announced that they are refining the media experience. When I tested my tree photo today, it appears normally on the Twitter desktop site, but it appears cropped in the Twitter App for iOS. Here’s hoping they can also make the App more visually appealing so I will become more likely to tweet photos directly instead of instagramming them.
iPad Pro
I have been saving for this device for a long time. They had it in stock today at the Apple Store in the Barton Creek Square Mall. I rushed over there after work and made the purchase. I will let you know how things work out. As of now, I am using the WordPress App on the new system to upload this blog post.
Periscope Skip Ahead
I am still enjoying Periscope. Lately they have improved the Map View to include options to see live video or recorded video. For recorded video, there is a new option to Skip Ahead. Just press and hold on your touchscreen, and you can fast forward to the spot you want to see in the recorded video. It is chilly in Austin, and I am missing the beach, so I virtually travelled to Australia tonight to catch a sunrise. I hope you enjoy the possibilities for travel on Periscope too.
Apple Music Android App
If you didn’t try Apple Music because you have an Android phone and not an iPhone, now’s your chance. The App is in a Beta form in the Google Play Store. I installed it to give it a try. I think you can still grab the deal for a three month trial, too. For me today, it is recommending some EDM music or maybe some Dire Straits. I think I will try one of these on my way home this evening. 🙂
Hay Day
Bedridden
This broken tooth has been one of the most painful events of my life. I have been mostly sleeping all day, because that seems the best way to cope. In between long naps, my iPad has kept me company. Take some pills, watch Netflix, cruise social media sites and play a few simple iPad games like Star Wars Commander. That is my life today.
