Attending a classical guitar concert this evening, and stopped along the way at the top of the hill to take some photos of Austin on this cloudy day. Everything is so green after the weekend rains.

Raining in Austin
There is some spooky hard rain in Austin today. For now, I am keeping dry at Maggie Maes and watching some football on Sixth Street. They also have some of their Halloween decorations up to enjoy.
Ozomatli
On this warm, humid, rainy night, the F1 race party came to town. The highlight of the party was the band called Ozomatli. They are known as a fun jam band that hops off the stage with their horns and their drums, and joins the crowd near the end of their show. That is when the party really gets started.
Voodoo Doughnut
If you find yourself smack dab in the middle of Sixth Street in Austin and your sweet tooth is calling out for satisfaction, check out Voodoo Doughnut. They will satisfy your craving for sugary goodness. My friends and I dropped in here after a downtown meeting today and it was yummy. I had the “Bacon Maple Bar Doughnut” with maple frosting and bacon on top. Killer!
Unbranded
Hey y’all! Get your hands on this Film (or maybe read the book). Unbranded is a story about wild mustangs, four college friends, and a trip of a lifetime riding public lands from Mexico to Canada. Trust me, this is a great American documentary.

St. Edwards Park
Hello St. Edwards Park! It has been a while. I started off on the Tim and Maggie Boatright Memorial Trail that runs between Spicewood Springs Road and Bull Creek. This part of the trail has a few lingering wildflowers and a busted up house. Then I climbed up the path at St. Edwards Park, took in the view of the hills, got lost in the woods, found my way downhill to the dam, watched the fish swim around, enjoyed the soothing sounds of the waterfall, and headed back for my car. All adventures were accomplished before sunset.
