I am sure by now that you, my Internet Friends, are tired of me proclaiming the magical wonders of Periscope. However, there is a big announcement – Periscope on Android is LIVE. I now can use my unlimited data plan (as sketchy as the signal can be at times) to create my own broadcasts. I have tried a few local broadcasts (without cats or other cute viewer nabbing critters), and my heart count is up to a whopping 2 hearts. My heart getting skills need a little bit of tender loving care. Don’t worry, I am determined to get the hang of this Android-based Periscoping thing. I am sure to double my heart count in no time. I suggest that you get out there and start some broadcasts of your own, with or without tiny, cute, cuddly, fluffy animals in tow. If you stay focused, you may soon have 2 hearts of your own. 🙂

Vulture Babies are Growing Up
The vulture babies have almost grown up. One of them has already grown taller than the parent. They are shedding their fluffy parts for real feathers, and soon they will learn to fly so they can take off on adventures of their own.
Brushy Creek Flooding
Parts of downtown Austin have it much worse than we do in Round Rock. These pictures are of the flooded Brushy Creek and for comparison, you can see one of my earlier posts from February. Now, the question is how much more rain will this area receive in the near future?
180° South
It rained all day today, and you may have read some news about flooding in Texas. I spent my day on the computer and managed to squeeze in a swim at the community pool in between rain showers. I watched “180° South” on Netflix, and this is a pretty good adventure movie. The scenes in Easter Island are awesome, and they made me want to travel there someday.
Great Hills Sunset

Mount Bonnell
It continued raining in Austin today, so I thought I would see what the view looked like from the top of Mount Bonnell in the rain.
Kerbey Lane Cafe
Yay! Round Rock now has its own Kerbey Lane Cafe (a bit of a novelty for this town because it is open 24/7). I can’t count the number of late night or early morning visits I have made to the original location in a converted house in Austin. The Round Rock location has been open for about a week, and it is already filling up, requiring a wait for a table with a vibrating pager. I ordered breakfast (migas) with a “special” pancake as a side item. The off menu items are always the best here. But there is plenty to choose from on the official menu. If you find yourself in the area, I recommend that you check it out no matter the time of day or night.
Nervo – It Feels
Two remixes of this song. The Boehm Remix, which I think is my favorite so far, and the Club Tester Mix. Enjoy!
‘Cause it feels good, it feels good
So tell me if it’s real, if it’s real, where do we go”
Wild Basin – Scenic Overlook
By the time I reached the scenic overlook at Wild Basin Wilderness Preserve, the storm clouds were building. Lucky for me, I snapped some photos, hung out with a friendly rabbit, and made it back to the car just before the storm. Good timing, indeed!
